We are seeking a skilled Setter to join our clients dynamic team in Corby on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in using various tools and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- To deliver machine utilisation efficiencies of allocated production lines in accordance with the targets and expectations of the company.
- To deliver materials efficiencies in line with targets and expectations of the company.
- To perform duties to acceptable standards and timescales at all times.
- To ensure acceptable quality standards are maintained at all times.
- To care for and help maintain upkeep of tools, tooling and equipment through appropriate actions at all times.
- To follow all company rules, procedures, work instructions and standards.
- To maintain complete and accurate records for all assigned responsibilities every shift using the methods determined by the company.
- To demonstrate adequate flexibility and commitment, especially from the point of view of covering vacant shifts.
- To undergo any training deemed necessary by the company.
- To communicate and work effectively with all colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks for design and modelling tasks is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with tooling processes and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools and machinery.
- Previous experience in fabrication is preferred but not essential.
- A logical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
Hours: Continental shift rotation, Days & Nights, 12 hour shifts.
Pay: £28,500.00-£36,000.00 per year
