We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production / Warehouse Manager to join our growing operation in Corby. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production and warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and operational performance across the site.
The successful candidate will be a strong people manager with excellent organisational skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse and production operations to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and production teams to achieve high performance standards.
- Ensure goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor production schedules and workflows to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee stock control processes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Produce operational reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage staffing levels, training requirements, and performance management activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager, Production Manager, or similar operational management role.
- Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Licences (essential).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and production processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Good IT skills, including experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Experience managing warehouse and production functions within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies).
- Experience with KPI management and operational reporting.
