Operation Manager – Kettering

Echo Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, global engineering manufacturer based in Kettering.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected business that designs and manufactures specialist test equipment exported worldwide Working within a low-volume, high-value production environment, this role is ideal for a hands-on Operations leader who thrives on coordination, improvement and accountability.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of end-to-end operational delivery — from order acceptance through to production, installation, commissioning and service.

Acting as the key link between Engineering, Production, Sales and the Customer, you’ll ensure projects are delivered:

On time

To quality standards

Within margin expectations

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading mechanical, electrical, calibration & service teams

• Driving integrated planning across departments

• Managing performance against budget

• Acting as escalation point for operational challenges

• Supporting commercial decisions to protect margin

• Contributing to business development & customer confidence

What We’re Looking For

Engineering background (mechanical and/or electrical)

Proven production/operations management experience

Experience leading technical teams

Strong planning & problem-solving skills

Commercial awareness

Comfortable in a low-volume, high-value manufacturing setting

Experience within capital equipment, machinery or regulated environments would be advantageous.
