Food – Maintenance Engineer dayshift
Job description
ECHO Personnel are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Northampton. This is a Permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who will support you to grow and develop your skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems and equipment.
Your Duties
- Maintain and repair machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functionalities.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
The Individual
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of machinery.
- Experienced in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Excellent command of English for effective communication within the team and with clients.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately.
- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with logical thinking.
- Troubleshooting issues working with a team of Maintenance Engineers to provide both planned and reactive maintenance to the sites machinery.
