Responsibilities

Efficiently process incoming waste materials according to specified guidelines to produce customer feedstock. This includes operating the plant’s digestion process through to combined heat and power (CHP) production.

Operate and monitor the waste processing plant, utilising the SCADA system to manage batch feeding, preparation, and adjustments.

Perform basic maintenance, identify and report faults, and ensure the plant’s quality, efficiency, and safety. This includes solids processing according to a schedule.

Sample process streams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.

Adhere strictly to all site Health and Safety Procedures, legislation, planning permissions, permits, and plant manuals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Accept and facilitate tanker deliveries of waste streams.

Work effectively as part of a team.

Maintain site cleanliness and company standards, and meet production targets.

Meticulous attention to detail is required for accurate monitoring, sampling, and record-keeping
Skills

Operate and maintain process plant machinery (agricultural or plant experience preferred).

Follow detailed instructions and maintain a keen eye for detail.

Understand and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Perform basic maintenance and mechanical tasks.

Effectively utilise computer systems, including spreadsheets, email, and

SCADA systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of AD/biogas/feedstock production is highly desirable.

Forklift certification is a plus.
Hours:
Monday to Friday (One weekend per month)
Initially during training – 6am to 3pm
Once trained hours will range between 6am to 6pm

Salary: Up to £36,000 Dependent on experience
