We are currently recruiting a Trainee Machine Operator to join a busy and well‑established manufacturing company in Kettering. Full training provided.
The Role
- Operating and monitoring packaging machinery (full training provided)
- Completing production and quality paperwork accurately
- Ensuring machines run efficiently and safely
- Working as part of a supportive production team
Shift Pattern
This role operates on 3 rotating shifts:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
Pay & Benefits
- £12.71 per hour (day & back shifts)
- Night shift: £12.71 + 10% allowance (£13.98 per hour)
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- All breaks are fully paid
- On‑site parking available
- Holiday up to 33 days after (successfully completing first 12 weeks)
Requirements
- Previous machine operating or machine‑setting experience preferred but not essential
- Technically minded with good problem‑solving skills
- Physically fit, as the role involves standing and manual handling
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts
- Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
