We are hiring a Shift Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients based in Corby – a well-established leader in the plastic recycling and packaging manufacturing industry.
THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE
As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of production equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance and urgent repairs to minimise downtime and support continuous operations across the site.
Pay: £45,000.00 per year
Shifts:
- PANAMA Shift – 6am to 6pm /6pm to 6am 3 on 2 off
- Full rota provided in advance
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedule and documentation standards
- Respond quickly to plant and production breakdowns, prioritising urgent issues
- Repair equipment efficiently to minimise downtime and support production flow
- Maintain a clean and safe engineering workshop and uphold site safety practices
- Assist with the management of engineering job lists and shift handovers
- Communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager, Shift Supervisors, and other departments
- Support compliance by ensuring PPE, Safe Working Procedures, and housekeeping standards are followed
- Monitor spare parts and report critical requirements to management
Requirements:
- Engineering/maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proactive approach to maintenance and health & safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and handle unplanned tasks as needed
